Biolage Hydrotherapie Cera-Repair

This is a conditioner that contains protein and ceramides. The most important part of this item is the ceramide content. Because the ingredient is at the bottom of the list, you’d think there isn’t enough, but you don’t need much of this product for it to be effective.

I have been using this product for about a year now and here is my overall review of it:
-Great for dry and relaxed hair.
-Not sure if I would recommend it for double processed hair as the fortetherapie is more for stressed and overworked hair and this line if for dry hair mostly
-Used alone, it is not that great but using with another conditioner, it works great. I normally put this on my ends, then length, never the roots, then add the deep conditioner on top and use heat.
-Can be used for any hair strand size.
-Does work really well for retention and preventing dryness.
-Adds shine and strength to hair.
-Can be used after a relaxer 🙂
-Will not affect moisture/protein balance.
-Good for heat damaged hair, but not repairing.
-Not a reconstructor or good at repairing. It is just really great at reducing dryness and adding ceramides, an essential chemical/molecule, necessary and naturally occurring in your integumentary system.
-Ordered from Amazon, one box comes with five tubes that can last 2-3 and maybe 4 washes. One box lasts me for months.
-Would not recommend for natural hair.
-Would recommend for use after a protein treatment, with a protein DC or with a moisturizing DC.
-Would recommend for weekly or biweekly use. I use weekly with now problem.
-Reduces breakage.
-Better than using oils such as safflower and hemp seed as it not as heavy and works much better.

I hope this helps someone out there. Most ceramide conditioners are usually protein conditioners and those are not ideal for weekly usage. Just this item is ideal for weekly usage.
